The West Volusia Hospital Authority (WVHA) is a special taxing district established by the State of Florida to provide access to health care for the qualified indigent residents of the taxing district.

Hospitals and Clinics
The WVHA contracts with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to obtain matching funds for its grants to some funded agencies.
The WVHA has dedicated primary care clinics for the WVHA HealthCard members. On October 1, 2020, the WVHA miCare DeLand Clinic opened their doors for business. It is located at 844 W Plymouth Avenue, DeLand, Florida. The WVHA miCare Deltona Clinic opened their doors for business in December of 2020. It is located at 840 Deltona Blvd., Unit M, Deltona, Florida. The phone number for both clinics is (866) 326-7548.

HCRA
Additionally, the WVHA fulfills the obligation to reimburse Health Care Responsibility Act (HCRA) claims for residents of West Volusia. Because the WVHA focuses solely on health care issues, it is well-positioned to make sure HCRA claims are filed accurately, paid promptly, and handled efficiently to keep administrative costs to a minimum.
